Photoshop Vs Gimp

<< < (2/2)

wangyu:
if you are going to working in the industry get photoshop as its unlikely to switch over anytime soon. If it's just personal then use whatever program your budget allows. You can also get Affinity Photo or GIMP ( free ) . I believe it would be adequate for most if not all your post-processing/editing needs.

whatever program you get, your still going to go through the same thing.

I prefer Gimp, as it is free to use, and you can still get professional results.

I am using the xp-pen star g640 ( https://www.xp-pen.com/product/51.html ) drawing pad for Gimp . It’s the best thing I ever did for photo editing. It’s seriously amazing.

GIMP is a FREE image editing software whereas Photoshop is a PAID image editing software. ... GIMP contains fewer tools while Photoshop contains a lot of tools. You cannot use GIMP to edit pictures on the smartphone while Photoshop can be used to edit pictures on the smartphone.

"If money isn't an issue, I would say stick with Photoshop. It's easier to learn, the user interface isn't that clunky, and allows for advanced editing.
GIMP is good, and the fact that it's free Photoshop will never beat. However, it cannot be compared to Photoshop in general."
