A website is a place which delivers information to the client when connected to it.The main difference between static and Dynamic website are:
1.Static website contain fixed number of webpages where as Dynamic website can create webpage dynamically.
2.Database Connectivity is never used in Static website where as dynamic sites can generate content dynamically through database queries.
3.Static websites can load very easily  on browser as it contain some markup content where as Dynamic websites take time to load because it  process the server side request and the generate content.

Hi there!

Here's some of the difference between static and dynamic website.

Static Website contains a fixed number of pages, while dynamic websites can create webpage dynamically.
Static website's theme and content are fixed, dynamic webste design and content may change on run time.
Static sites never use database connectivity, dynamic websites used database and generate the contents dynamically.
Static websites is highly secure than dynamic sites because of the duplex approach.
Static website are used to provide information to the clients like organization or institute website, while dynamic website are use when content changes frequently like a E-commerce site.
Static website directly run on browser and does not require other server application language while dynamic website require server application language like  PHP , Asp.NET, JSP etc.
Static websites are easy to develop, while dynamic websites are not because it require a daily processing to manage it, test it and maintain the security of the database.

Hope it helps!

Now is 2015 and I think you don't need to care about static website anymore.
It is very old technology :)

Hi,
Static web pages display the exact information and they don't have simple text. A static site is a website that is written entirely using HTML.

Dynamic Web pages are capable of producing different content for different visitors from the same source code file. A website is written using complex code such as PHP or ASP.

Dynamic Website
A dynamic website uses server technologies (such as PHP) to dynamically build a webpage right when a user visits the page.

Advantage!

    Much more functional website
    Much easier to update
New content brings people back to the site and helps in the search engines
Can work as a system to allow staff or users to collaborate

Static websites!
A static website consists of a series of HTML files, each one representing a physical page of a website.

Advantage!

    Quick to develop
    Cheap to develop
    Cheap to host

Try researching online for you to further understand the difference between the two.  ;)

static sites contain a settled number of pages and configuration of a site page is altered which conveys data to the customer. There is 110 change in substance of a site page while page is running on customer's program. This sort of sites made from HTML and CSS coding in a straightforward content manager like scratch pad. Case an association site, organization site and so on.

Dynamic sites can change the page substance progressively while the page is running on customer's program. This sort of sites use server-side programming like PHP, Asp.NET. what's more, JSP and so on to adjust page substance on run time.

Hi

What is the the difference between static and dynamic websites ?
1. (Static Web) Website What is static?:

You do not get the feeling of motion makes a mistake, a static website does not mean that the content on it completely at rest. No video, no video, flash ... Really not. The components can still be integrated into static web to make the site more lively. Static Web sites ie fixed content.

There are no or limited interaction with the website, mainly used in the HTML source code. JavaScript or Flash. Fixed content after being designed. often do not have the admin page to change the contents and update entries. No interaction from viewers contrary to the contents page.

Static Web pages are often used intro (introduction), p promotions, content introduction page ... simple, fixed.

Pros: Lightweight, easy to design. simple structure that does not require hosting platform.
Cons: There are many extensions to development. When you want to change the content should have knowledge of writing code.
2. (Dynamic Web) Website What is? :

Powered by PHP (running on Linux hosts - database MySQL) or ASP (running on Windows hosts - database MSQL), usually the admin page, to change, update content on the site. Using a database to manage the available items (articles, membership, menus ...) Users can interact easily to the content site. Can be applied in many fields:

Web introduce products or introduce company
Web news
Web ecommerce, online sales
Forum (Forum)
Web of landscaping, hotel, restaurant
And many other applications ...
Pros and cons of what is dynamic website?

Pros: Easy to change the content, data management simple, widely used to build web in many fields.
Cons: If the designer does not check carefully, susceptible web security bugs. Do include many components so complex structure, hosting requirements to support the corresponding source code (PHP, ASP, ASPX, JSP ...)

Conclusion: although still outstanding flaws, but considering the features and interoperability, dynamic websites almost dominate the market worldwide web. You should also use the website to your website. Good luck.

There are basically two main types of website - static and dynamic. A static site is one that is usually written in plain HTML and what is in the code of the page is what is displayed to the user. A dynamic site is one that is written using a server-side scripting language such as PHP, ASP, JSP, or Coldfusion.
