This change is giving mixed results for those who have changed their website status from HTTP to HTTPs. And People who have also applied SSL certificate are also experiencing some problems. But many of them ar not affected and getting good response. I suggest if you want to change to HTTPs then go on as its what Google said and with going by Google Guidelines one will surely get a good response if not now then later.
