Domain authority is the measure of strength and popularity of your domain in search engines. It is measured by Moz and your domain is ranked between 0 to100 depending on the popularity and trust. DA can be improved by good content update and also by building backlinks from other relevant domains.

The first thing that people need to realize is what domain authority is. This is where extra links are going to a page on the website other than the primary homepage.
A second thing is domain authority is going  to help Google and the other search engines know what types of pages are on the website. For example, having all th elinks go to hte homepage will help build up rank there.
As a lot of people have found out, it is very difficult to get  the search  engines to notice their website at times. This is when people should know about the domain authority and how this is going to help them in incrasing their rankings in the search engines.

Page authority definitely carries more weight. Domain authority only refers to the overall backlink profile of an entire site, and you will only get the benefit of it from a sitewide link. For example, Facebook has a Domain Authority of 100, but this in no way transfers to the links people post on it.
