The "just create quality content" mantra is partly SEO guru propaganda. Millions of pages have "great content" and zero traffic because no one links to them and their site architecture is trash.

SERP competition is brutal. Without backlinks, proper interlinking, and technical optimization, even premium content can rot unnoticed in Google's cache.
