Google keyword tool gives you a more specific number for given keywords in a particular region. Whereas Google trends is an interest of certain keywords over a specific time period. It is an interest trend, so developing PPC or SEO campaigns base of trends is not recommended. For creating marketing campaigns rely mainly on keyword search numbers of keyword planner.

Hi

Google Keyword Tool should be more accurate if you want to know the ‘exact’ number of searches, however it’s still a close number not the exact one and if you start advertising for that term you’ll see far more impressions in real life because for example Keyword Tool counts users not ‘impressions’ that you would see in Google Adwords.

Google Trends - With the help of Google Trends, you may examine the most popular search keywords in different parts of the globe. In other words, you are seeing what people from all over the world are searching for on Google. Finding out what's popular in your area can be a really useful source of information (or anywhere).

Google Keyword Planner - With a Google Ads account, you may access the keyword research tool Google Keyword Planner. Although the tool's primary purpose is to assist users in organizing Google Ads campaigns, some marketers also find it beneficial for general keyword planning. The Google Keyword Planner is a tool that lets you look at Google search traffic data to determine how popular various keywords and phrases are.
To put it another way, you can research keywords to discover how popular they are and use this information to assess whether they will help your Google Ads (or other content) appear in search results.
