Is Alexa traffic and ranking inaccurate?

We can't say that Alexa traffic and ranking is totally inaccurate and we also can not say that its ranking is accurate. It gives us estimated traffic so estimate can be or can not be exact.

Alexa rank computes al lthe traffic for the main domain and its subdomains. The subdomains don't have a separate rank. To get 45k Alexa rank you need to have more then 10k univ visitors per day.

yeah, alexa cant give you a perfect rank judging every user of your website. It just considers the users having alexa toolbar..

Yes,the Alexa Traffic Rankings are not accurate and cannot be used to boast traffic rankings for the average site owner,I think. The main flaw that I have found with Alexa, is their main method of collecting user traffic data, which is mainly through an Alexa Toolbar that collects data from users' browsers that have the toolbars installed.

It is true or not how can i say as i have no exact parameters for its checking however many seo experts use it to measure rank of their websites. You may include its tool bar icon which will show the rank of each site you open in your browser..

Hello dear friend,Alexa ranking depends upon the alexa toolbar installed in the browser. It is inaccurate because it doesn't collect the traffic data from the non-alexa toolbar users.

There is no connection of Alexa ranking on the original Ranking factor of Google, Traffic is just a part for evaluation and distribution of rank to a website, however Alexa is just concentrated on the number of visits and traffic generation of site, and yes I have also heard about it being inaccurate, so just concentrate on building links and increasing the page rank traffic will flow naturally once the site achieves top ranking in Google.
