I've never heard of Squarespace, so maybe I should go check it out. I'm not too surprised that I haven't, though, as some here have mentioned never hearing about Blogger. I wonder if there are any articles that compare these hosting sites?

Most blogging platforms are bloated and inefficient, with WordPress being the worst offender. Its vast array of plugins and themes can lead to a slow and cumbersome user experience, making it a nightmare to optimize for performance. Ghost, while sleek, is often too minimalist, lacking the features and customization options that serious bloggers need.
Medium is a walled garden that restricts your creative freedom, and Wix is a proprietary platform that locks you into its ecosystem. If I had to choose, I'd say the best blogging platform is a self-hosted solution using a lightweight CMS like Jekyll or Hugo.
Great list of blogging platforms! I've been exploring ways to enhance my blog's usability and provide tools that genuinely help readers. One of the features I added recently is a work hours calculator https://calculadora-dehora.com.br/ . It's been super helpful for people who manage their schedules or calculate their work hours.
What's your take on integrating helpful tools like calculators or widgets into blogs? Do you think it improves user engagement?
Here are the top 5 blogging platforms:
WordPress.org – The most popular and customizable platform, offering full control over your blog with plugins and themes.
Wix – User-friendly with drag-and-drop features, ideal for beginners looking for ease of use.
Medium – Great for writers who want to focus purely on content creation and audience engagement.
Blogger – Simple to use and free, ideal for beginners who want a straightforward platform.
Squarespace – Known for beautiful design templates, perfect for bloggers focusing on visual appeal.

Interesting list! Definitely focused on hosted platforms. I'd love to see a version that also compares self-hosted options like WordPress.org or Ghost.
