Which is more effective blogger or wordpress? I'm finding blogger(blogspot) more newb friendly overall.

In my opinion WordPress is the best option. It is easy to handle and you can customize your blog quite easily. So I think for blogging WordPress is the best option.

WordPress is the best Web2.0 platform and an award winning content management system to build personal blogs and also professional websites. It uses CSS and MySQL to help build your website.
Both are good, I'll recommend Wordpress.
Personally I am a big fan of Wordpress - it is easy to use, have a lot of addons (new show up almost everyday) and it's really helpful as it comes to SEO. And Wordpress community is always eager to help with any technical problems.

I use both 2 for my SEO plan. I personally appreciate blogspot, because easily customize and change the look without affecting SEO. I use many different source for better SEO.
I think we should use the platform of Wordpress to create a blog website. First off, Wordpress is full of features with tons of plugin and theme that are developed by so many third parties. Secondly, the websites created with WordPress, you own them yourself but Google owns it if you create a blog to Blogger. So the right of control is better with Wordpress.

In my opinion, Wordpress is better for using. Blogger is a good and easy to use platform, but it just doesn't cut in terms of flexibility and customization. And Wordpress in this excels. Many people have chosen it to power their sites and use it to create a wide spectrum of amazing and impressive websites. Also, majority of the biggest sites run on this platform.
If you're a starter, use Blogger
If you're advance, use self hosted WordPress.org
if you're starter and using WordPress.com, they'll contact you if you're using free plan and to many activity
so it will better to use Blogger if you want a free service. You anyway may use WordPress.com free plan however you should take care about their bandwith ;D
I did used both, but now I am just using wordpress since it has good feature that is way different from blogger. Blogger is highly suggested to those who are starting blogging i guess it is more onto personal use rather than for profit purposes.

I've seen some of my friends who are using Wordpress to create their personal blogs. But in my opinion if we can both of them to optimize our SEO products, why must we deliberate this problem ;D right?
