.net vs .org

ok guys a long debated issue, but if you can't get the .com (which obviously is the best) which domain extension does one go for ? .net or .org.

My experience has shown that both are well respected by google for SEO purposes and people do like them but which is really better. Also would you consider other TLD's over the above. e.g. maybe a .co.uk or .info is better ?

What's your views on these... Oh and don't forget the hold hyphenated .com domain , is that better than a non hyphenated .org or .net ??  ;)

If i cannot obtain .com i use both .net and .org.

.org are in front of everything, but as long as you don’t post any comercial links.

Matt said .org has some “magic” on it.

anyway, i would go for the usual .mycountrycode

jamcatering:
Everything is simply - org. - for organizations, net - for everybody

if you can get your country code then definitely get it. it really depends on the nature of your site when considering other gTLD's, but the only real alternative to a .com is a .co
