well i think Facebook for sure but i want to know your opinions!
Facebook has surpassed Myspace a longtime ago. Now Facebook is in a race with Google +. I personally haven't switched completely over to Google +.
Facebook allows you to connect with a larger user base as it has billions of active users, while MySpace no longer sees the same level of engagement. Facebook is also continuously evolving its platform with new technologies and integrations, offering regular updates and feature improvements to enhance user experience.
However, some users might prefer MySpace for nostalgic reasons or its focus on music and artistic communities in its later years. It's important to note that both platforms have had different focuses and can offer unique user experiences.
Facebook: As the most popular social media platform globally, Facebook offers many features for its user base. These include:
News Feed: Where you can see status updates, photos, videos, links, app activity, likes, and comments from the people, pages, and groups you follow.
Friends: Ability to connect with friends, see their profiles and updates, exchange messages.
Groups: Special interest groups covering a wide range of topics, allowing you to connect with like-minded individuals.
Events: Planning events, sending invites, and keeping track of who is attending.
Marketplace: Buying and selling goods locally.
Pages: Public profiles that let artists, public figures, businesses, brands, organizations, and nonprofits create a presence and connect with people.
Live Video: Live broadcasting capabilities.
Stories: A feature that allows the sharing of short user-generated photo and video collections that can be viewed up to two times and disappear after 24 hours.
MySpace: Once a dominant player in the social media field, its impact lessened significantly after its peak in the mid-2000s. Some of its features include:
Music Oriented: Offers a platform for musicians and bands to share music and concerts, which no other social media site does quite as well.
Customizable Profiles: One of the biggest draws of MySpace in its heyday was the extent to which users could customize their profiles, a feature that Facebook doesn't share to the same degree.
Connections: Similar to Facebook's friends network, though far less active due to a much smaller user base.
Despite these features that MySpace offers, it's important to reiterate that as of my training cut-off in 2021, Facebook is generally the more effective choice for most users due to its intensive feature set and massively larger active user base. Its ongoing updates and extensions, such as Facebook-owned Instagram and WhatsApp, show a company that is continually evolving and innovating, which puts it at the forefront of social media. That said, individual preferences and needs might still make MySpace an attractive option for some, particularly musicians and bands.
In terms of concerns, both platforms have faced criticism and scrutiny over privacy issues, with Facebook in particular being involved in several major scandals. It's always important to be mindful of your data privacy and security when using any online platform.
In addition to functionality and features, another aspect you may want to consider when deciding between Facebook and MySpace is their user demographics and culture. Here is a more in-depth look:
Facebook: Facebook's user base is incredibly diverse in terms of age, geographic location, and interests. It's a common platform across generations, from young аdults to senior citizens. The comprehensive range of features available on Facebook helps cater to this broad demographic, which is why you can find almost any type of community on the platform, from local marketplace exchanges to international interest groups.
Normals, businesses, celebrities, and political figures alike use Facebook to connect with fans, constituents, and customers as the platform has strong tools for this kind of engagement.
Facebook's algorithms are trained to show you content that aligns with your past likes, comments, and shares. This can lead to a highly personalized experience, although it's also been a matter of debate due to the potential for creating "echo chambers" or amplifying harmful content.
MySpace: As mentioned earlier, these days, MySpace is significantly less active than Facebook. After losing ground to Facebook and other social media platforms, MySpace shifted its focus to music and entertainment. Many bands and musicians use MySpace to connect with fans and share new releases.
While MySpace did have a diverse user base in its prime, nowadays, its user demographic is much narrower. It's particularly used by musicians and artists. While this may mean a less active general community, it could be a benefit if you're specifically interested in independent music or niche communities.
In terms of layout and aesthetics, MySpace used to be known for its customizable profiles, allowing users to show their individuality by modifying the look and structure of their profiles. This is something that Facebook does not currently offer.
For me its facebook now a days facebook becoming very big social networking..and billion's of people using it because its nice rather that my space..
Of course, I would go for Facebook.
Hi,
Facebook is the leading social networking site among others so there is no comparison like this according to me.
If you are talking about facebook and Google+ then it is a different issue.
Facebook is better than Myspace. Even in comparison with all other networking sites, Facebook is more popular and used by more number of people nowadays.
It reaches to the folks to the extent.
It has more advantages like no technical errors, less emo, relationship status etc...
I would like to vote Facebook here.
Me too! I'll go to Facebook.
Hi Friends,
Facebook is a great way to meet friends and keep up on what they are doing. Once you add a friend to your Facebook friend list you will always know when they are adding things to their blog or updating their profile. Join Facebook groups to meet people like you, or browse the profiles to find new friends. Facebook's classmates and co-worker search is good for finding friends too.
Thanks and Regards
Richard Smith

Facebook has surpassed Myspace a longtime ago. Now Facebook is in a race with Google +. I personally haven't switched completely over to Google +.
I think Google+ is in the race of Facebook not vice versa. And Myspace can never be like Facebook.
Definitely Facebook. Myspace doesn't have the same worth and brilliance as Facebook does.
Facebook is far better than Myspace. Google Plus tries to compete with Facebook. Facebook has a billion user and its not possible to get a possible visitor and customer for your website here.
Well, according to Matt Cutts +1 on the post doesn't have a weight for now..
I think faceboob is much better then other social networking sites not even from Myspace Fb can beat all Social networking sites running in the World. :)
depends, if you like adding your own stuff and talking to people all over the world then Myspace is better for you. if you like talking to people you know in person and being able to see lots of candid photos of you and your friends, or facebook chat them which is like IMing them when they're on then Facebook is better. If you want to never be bored, get both.
I prefer Facebook because its a nice social website and very popular these days instead of Myspace.
I believe safe wise Myspace is better because it doesn't give out your name and the place you're living. Facebook does give out that information and thats truly dangerous.
Hi, friends its depends on which purpose .both website is best .but if you use for social networking add friends share Ideas, online message, likes and other ect. you use Facebook. and if you use for music, video, songs you must select MySpace.
Hello Members,
Facebook is far more better than MySpace. Facebook and myspace both are popular social networking sites but facebook overtook myspace in terms of membership in 2008.
Facebook is the most popular social media website used by every age group of people. It is the best platform to promote your business, increase traffic and improves conversions of your business. So, beyond any doubt, I think Facebook is better than Myspace.
Hi!
I would go for Facebook, as of today, Facebook is the leading Social Networking sites. You can have many advantages with Facebook like you can reach people easily, you can promote your business, it has many source of entertainment, and many more advantages.
Facebook has surpassed Myspace a long-lasting prior. Presently Facebook is in a race with Google +. I for one haven't changed totally over to Google +.
Hello, as for me, I use Facebook more often! I want to say, that FB is more popular in our time! Maybe, becouse it is a trust social network and it is more easy in using! That is why, I will recommend FB as for a business and for your personal needs!
hey for all you that like myspace better than facebook.. i need really good and factual reasons why myspace is better then facebook.. could you help me out?
this is a serious question so give me true facts! Thanks you guys!
Update: BTW if you like facebook...DO NOT ANSWER cuz i could care less what you have to say... Thank you (:
Update 2: I DONT CARE if you like facebook better..if you dont like myspace dont answer.. thanks....again....
Update 3: and you can do all those things on myspace too..soo..
Update 4: AND its not cheating if im asking for others opinions LOL
#2 - Facebook is safer in my opinion. Myspace is mostly filled with preteens and young teens, perfect for pedophiles. Facebook used to be exclusively for college students (although that changed a year or 2 back).
#3 - In my eyes, I see Facebook as the "more mature" social network. I have 500+ friends on facebook, and not a single one of them is young (under 18). It's almost like MySpace is for the kids and Facebook the "аdults".
It's really all about personal preference. I have both Myspace and Facebook, but only get on MySpace once or twice a week to accept any comments or friend requests. Facebook I actually find looking around and talking to people.
Nobody can answer this question instead of you. I suggest you to use the site that best suits your needs. Talking about me, I prefer to use Facebook.
We all know that facebook is the number social media sites. The fact that it has a lot of users only means how good the website is for both business and personal use.
In my opinion, Facebook is the better social media platform compared to Myspace. Facebook has a much larger and more active global user base, with over 2 billion monthly active users, while Myspace has declined in popularity over the years.
Facebook also has a more robust set of features, including a news feed, groups, events, and a marketplace, whereas Myspace was more focused on music and personal customization of user profiles. Additionally, Facebook's interface and user experience are generally considered cleaner and more intuitive compared to the cluttered and customized designs of old Myspace profiles.
Facebook also has more robust privacy controls and security features, as well as better integration with a huge number of external apps and services, making it a more central social hub. Facebook has been much more successful at monetizing its platform through advertising, compared to Myspace's more limited commercial model.
