Title: Help With My Website
Post by: mc_blue on 11-14-2012, 15:51:57
Hi all,

I've always enjoyed success with my business website for a key search term - Car Recovery Birmingham.  It appears that Google now considers a URL match to be more important than anything else.  Consequently, my website has gone from first to third (behind another site and an internet directory).

I have two questions:

Firstly, why does Google seem to be indexing one of my website's pages as opposed to the index/homepage?

Second, do I need to set up another website with a URL match to go back up to top position?

Kind regards

I'm not sure about this.
Google is going after "low quality" exact match domains (EMD) to ensure they do not rank well in the Google search results

With this in mind why is my site not enjoying top position as it used to?

In addition, why is my homepage not being indexed?

Help would be seriously appreciated!
