Many people join forums for the backlinks. I think that is fine. As long as you genuinely contribute and bring value to that forum you are basically purchasing your backlinks with valuable contribution.
Any forum that will give you instant backlink juice will be crowded by those type that do it just for the links, and thus there will be a ton of links going out from that site.
Google sees that as a spammy site and thus you will get penalized for having that site linking to you.
So it is in your best interest not to look for such forums.

There will be lots of but don't go with Forum Signature linking. If you want to help the people over there at forums, then only you'll get referral visitors. Else no user nor Google will give value to such links.

Forum posting is very technique for link building. Forum postings give strong backlinks for the website at high level. Reputated forum sites like Seomastering, Warrior Forum, Webicy, Seochat these also give strong backlinks for the website but they do not allow instant signature on the profile. We should follow the guidelines and rules of different forum posting sites.

You need links means you need to build reputation in the web. That's what's the quality links can do for you.
You can take little time to create value in the forum and you should do contributing regular in the forum with topics. Then actually your link will get more value. ;) :))

Yes if you got links Instantly there is no use, Unless if you added some value to that site with great contribution you'll be beneficiary. with less content you try to get link juice it will be considered to be spam and you impact in -ve. Give great value to forums.

I have heard that Google doesn't give it much credit. Am I wrong?
Anyway, you should create a natural link-profile and make sure you have all types of links :)

Your response is really meaningful honestly. Thanks for sharing your view about that, i am joining some forums tends to building my backlinks to my site, but I only build ones that have content relevant to my niche
