Hi,

I run Links Directory on my site and as part of ongoing work time has come to bring it out of neglect and give it new lease

of life.

I was wondering what your opinion is on a site having Link Directory section - in terms of SEO. Good to have one or don't

bother?

DIGIVERSITY

Having a link directory within your site can be a double-edged sword for SEO.

✅ Pros:

Can improve internal linking, helping search engines crawl your site better.

Can organize related content, improving user experience.

⚠️ Cons:

If it's just a long list of low-value links, it may look spammy to Google.

Excessive outbound links without relevance can dilute SEO value.

Bottom line: A link directory is good for SEO only if it's relevant, organized, and adds value to users. Avoid creating it just for the sake of links—focus on helping visitors navigate your content.
