Do guest blogging this helps to bring quality backlinks but high quality unique content is necessary. Focus more upon web2.0 sites to get quality backlinks.

First one thing you remember that google ranking consider not only for more backlinks. But it depends on links , quality information , traffic all things. And for getting more backlinks , try to make submission on high PR and quality site with providing meaningful and quality information.

You can only get these from high PR sites.
According to me , you can get a good indexing in google only when you have -
a) good number of visitors
b) quality articles
c) good number of back links towards your site .

A backlink is like an editorial vote for the site being back-linked to. So the more backlinks you get, that means more people are finding your content useful so they're voting for it via backlinks.
To Get High Quality Backlinks:-
1) Blog Commenting
2) Guest Blog Posting
3) Link Request
4) Bargain for the Link
5) Target in-content link
Let me remind you pal that search engines are not that link oriented as many SEOs think. So backlink is not the only factor to consider in getting a good ranking. What's the use of on page if backlink is the only way?

Let me correct you buddy. Google and other search engines are not just focusing on link in ranking a site. They are not link-oriented search engines so do not get stuck on getting links if you are aiming to have a good ranking for your site.
