In SEO, the natural link is a process of linking your web page relevant quality and unique content, images, product by other website or blogs. It is more useful to increase your page ranking factor.By writing a unique and quality content and promoting on social media sites( not direct but it is very useful for ranking) is the best way to improve a ranking factor.
Guest posting, blog commenting, press releases and in general just putting great content out there will get you a lot of links naturally over a period of time. But it takes a bit of time, don't expect hundreds of natural links in a month.
Natural links happens when other webmasters, bloggers or website owners link to your content (blogs, images, products, videos etc) because they think is useful for their readers and adds value to their websites or pages.
It is generally acknowledged in the SEO business that having regular connections is the best, most secure, speediest and among the most productive approaches to advance a blog or site.
With regular connections you can feel secure that your substance is great and that your rankings and activity won't be influenced by a Google algorithmic change.

One of the effective way to create natural links is Guest Posting. Create trending, unique and relevant content and approach bloggers that accept guest post. Communicate with them and get links from the content to your website. Make sure the guest posting site has a good DA.
Other ways are Q/A participation, Forums and Blog Commenting.

To get natural links is difficult but not impossible
1) Create valuable content
2) Guest post
4) Encourage your suppliers and vendors to link to you
Don't expect hundreds of natural links in a month.
