All High value quality back links with correct category, they are beneficial for your site. it will create reputation for your site, increase page rank generates visits.

Few year ago, Govt and edu links give more benefit but these days high PR sites and relevant link or niche backlinks are more benefit then govt and edu links. I also discussed with few experts and few of them agree with govt and edu and few of them are not. Well, I feel that High PR site benefit for any site.

In my opinion Quality backlinks comes from Do Follow sites help you to improve your site rank. And it also improves your keyword ranking.

* High Page Rank
* Has quality contents

in my opinion Do follow links are more important. Quality links from HIGH PR sites improve your site rank.

The question is too generic. What link are you referring? Of course when it comes to submission link, those sites with High PR are the best options.

I think Edu and Gov backlinks are very important to the sites.Both link are make the bakebone of your site link popularity stronger,provide a more google trust and better domian authority.Edu and GOv backlinks makes your backlink stronger,it will definitely help you rise in higher in the search engine.
