i want to know what are the basics steps do we need to initiate on page seo? i want to know the list of steps taken from starting by web site analysis till end
Here's a step by step process,
- Inclusion of fresh unique content
- Inclusion of well-researched keywords in appropriate density
- Inclusion of meta description tags, ALT tags, H1 tags
- Placement of anchor text
- Title optimization by placing target keyword in the title
- Internal linking strategy
- Inclusion of a Sitemap
- Image and video optimization
- Page loading speed optimization
I would encourage you to go through Google's beginner's guide:
http://static.googleusercontent.com/external_content/untrusted_dlcp/www.google.com/en//webmasters/docs/search-engine-optimization-starter-guide.
I would also encourage you to experiment with all the above mentioned features with your site. On page results begin to have a dramatic effect when you have an older domain with a lot of links pointing back to the page, and a tweek here or there can either increase or decrease results.
On-page is vital components of SEO and these are the basic steps to do and it will really help you lots.
Competitor Analysis
Keyword Research
Title Tag
Meta Tags
Header Tags
Content optimization With Proper Keyword Density
Create proper URL Structure
Image Optimization
Internal Linking Structure
Page Segmentation
Create Sitemap
Configure Google Analytics
Configure Webmaster tool of Google and Bing
Create Robots.txt
Make sure that your meta-tags are arranged correctly - your page title tags and description tags should describe the content of your different web pages. The page title tags should be less then 65 characters and the description tags more detailed but less then 140 characters.
The very first step in On page optimization is Keyword research. Once you have selected your main keywords check whether these keywords are present in your website content. If not then rewrite your website's content by inserting some of your keywords. Be sure you're not inserting a keyword more than 3 times per hundred words.
When you have done with content start creating sitemap.xml and robots.txt files for your website and also register for webmaster tools for Google. Make sure your main images contain proper alt and title attribute and your website have proper internal linking structure.

Personal Reputation Management (http://www.reputationhead.com/personal-reputation-management/)
On page optimisation is key to the success of any SEO campaign and most techniques have been highlighted in this thread. The quality of concise information in regards to meta tags is crucial and is often misused in that people use too many keywords and do not realise that google will only consider a certain amount a characters (see @alvaroamdo's comment).
It is universally agreed that SEO is most effective if consider from the conception of the website design. This is because content is also a key SEO tool and so if this is optimised with the SEO startegy in mind it is much more focussed and therefore more effective. As such, all of these on page optimisation points are much easier if incorporated from the outset. That is not to say that it is not possible to optimise an existing website - but it will involve more work.
Initial SEO can include simple (but probably most effective) techniques like meta tags, title and content, but these lead organically to further steps such alt tags, H1-6, anchor text, etc which are just as important.
You may want to have a read through this; http://goup.co.uk/guides/theguide/ (http://goup.co.uk/guides/theguide/)
Remember that it all starts with research and analysis so that you are clear on the strategy that you want to adopt for your SEO campaign.
To start on page SEO:
- look at using google analytics to research key words - or even google insights and google autocomplete when searching as Malcolm Cole presents a strong argument for this use in his blog http://www.malcolmcoles.co.uk/blog/why-you-shouldnt-use-googles-keyword-tool-for-seo/ (http://www.malcolmcoles.co.uk/blog/why-you-shouldnt-use-googles-keyword-tool-for-seo/).
- Identify your target audience and what they will search for
- Adjust data accordingly like title tags, meta tags
- Move on to content creation, alt tags, robots, site map, meta description (not 'seen' by google but useful for attracting people through SERP's), etc.
first is you have to know a broad knowledge about the site that you are creating, you must be able to know the facts and many things about the content of your site, and through that , you would be able to come up with a good keyword that would surely be helpful for ranking. :) then you could proceed to making good articles and making your site with the best structure. :)

Here are more conversation on Onside technical things that need to do
http://seoforums.org/site-optimization/19402-how-can-i-learn-onside-or-on-page-optimization.html
To kick-start on-page SEO, I begin by reviewing the website's configuration, ensuring that the server is properly configured, and the website is accessible via HTTP and HTTPS. I then analyze the website's crawlability, identifying issues with page structure, meta tags, and internal linking. I optimize the website's content, focusing on keyword research, content quality, and readability.
I also review the website's meta tags, ensuring that they accurately reflect the content and are free of duplicates. I then focus on image and video optimization, ensuring that file names, alt tags, and descriptions are descriptive and relevant. Finally, I conduct a thorough review of the website's technical setup, ensuring that the website is mobile-friendly, has a fast loading speed, and is secure.
