Hi friends,

How can I fix duplicate title tags on my WordPress website? Do you have experience? I need suggestions from you.

You can Change the title of pages to distinguish between the duplicate pages. Add a Canonical URL to indicate which page search engines should index. Set all but one page to noindex.

All the web pages must have an unique title tag. So if the content on the page is different on both the pages, you must change the title tags which is relevant to the content on the page. If you have a scenario like www.example.com and www.example.com/index/, you should redirect one page to another and makes it easy to analyse your homepage traffic.
Now if you have same product but has different specifications like color & size, then tweaking a title tag with inclusion of those specifications would be beneficial.

you can find out if the Google bot detected any problems with your title tags. Recently i have added post tags to my site and made some changes to my categories. Some of these changes have caused a minor problem by duplicating existing title tags so i want to share with you the method i use to fix them.

FIX 1: Log into WordPress and go to the Yoast plugin options. It should be labeled 'SEO' on the menu bar. Go to 'Titles & Metas' and under the 'General' tab you should see an options for 'Enable force rewrite titles. ' Make sure this is unchecked.

Login to WordPress Admin, Go to WordPress Admin dashboard, navigate to SEO > Titles & Metas and click Post Types tab. Use use %%title%% %%page%% for Title and for Meta Description, use %%excerpt%% %%page%%. After then save the settings. Now open Functions.

To fix duplicate title tags on your WordPress website, you can follow these steps:

Identify the duplicate titles: Use an SEO tool or plugin to identify the pages or posts with duplicate title tags.

Update the titles: Edit each affected page or post to create unique and descriptive title tags that accurately reflect the content.

Use SEO plugins: Utilize SEO plugins like Yoast SEO or All in One SEO Pack to easily manage and customize title tags for individual pages and posts.

Set up templates: If your site has a consistent structure, consider setting up title tag templates in your SEO plugin to automate title creation while ensuring uniqueness.

* Check your SEO plugins again. As previously stated, check your SEO plugins once more and deactivate any that are not in use.
* Remove Theme SEO features. In a similar vein, you should deactivate any SEO features that come with your theme.
