If you want important paginated pages indexed, avoid canonicalizing paginated pages so that paginated pages rel=canonical link tags point to the first page in the paginated series.

Excluding paginated pages from the index with the rel=canonical link tag or the noindex tag. Use third party crawlers to monitor the indexability status of important paginated pages and make sure paginated parameter URLs are configured.

Avoid canonicalizing paginated pages such that rel=canonical link tags refer to the first page in the paginated series if you want key paginated pages indexed.

To no-index paginated content, add a "noindex" meta tag to the HTML header of each paginated page. This tells search engines not to include these pages in their index, preventing duplicate content issues and preserving the SEO value of the main content. This can be particularly useful for blog posts or product listings spread across multiple pages.
