Title: On-Page content optimization?
Post by: janiman on 10-24-2015, 18:07:05
Do i need to make unique Title and Description for all of my web pages?
Can i copy terms and condition, privacy policy and Cookie Use policy from another website and put it on my website? or do i have to write my own unique content?
I did put 4 press releases on my website and many bloggers copied it to their own website. Will it hurt my website?

1. Yes, you need to write an unique title and description for each page, because meta tags should be relevant to that particular page.
2. Its better you have your own Privacy policies on your pages, if you have no option to write then you can copied from other website but hide that pages from search engines using robots.txt.
3. yes, its better you contact the website owners who put your content on their website and ask them to remove.

The process of making your website's home page or a particular page on your website more attractive to search engines and users is called optimization. There are several parts of your website that we will review and improve as part of this process. These include the content or copy, broken links, title tags and meta tags. Once these improvements are implemented, search engines will find it easier to index your website and display it in relevant search results.

Onpage optimization (AKA on-page SEO) refers to all measures that can be taken directly within the website in order to improve its position in the search rankings. Examples of this include measures to optimize the content or improve the meta description and title tags. Conversely, off-page SEO refers to links and other signals.

Copy-paste snippets are lazy, tank your CTR, and make Google guess. Lifting someone's legal pages verbatim is a lawsuit waiting to happen, and you're also publishing thin content.
As for press releases: you handed scrapers free content with zero canonicals, no pingbacks, nothing. Don't whine when they outrank you in the SERP. That's on you, not Google.
