Hello friend's
Pay per click (PPC) (also called Cost per click) is an Internet advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, where advertisers pay the publisher (typically a website owner) when the ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system. PPC "display" advertisements are shown on web sites or search engine results with related content that have agreed to show ads. This approach differs from the "pay per impression" methods used in television and newspaper advertising

PPC is very costly. Think of it as an auction. What you have to worry about is when another company bids higher than you.

Pay-per-click advertising, also known as PPC, is a form of online advertising whereby visitors are directed to an advertiser's website after clicking on an advertisement, and the advertiser pays for each visitor on a per-click basis.

Each click can be anywhere from 1 pence to several pounds in cost, depending on many factors, including the pay-per-click search engine being used to advertise on, and the search phrase that is being targeted

Pay per click advertising is a part of paid search marketing. Under the PPC form of advertising, advertisers are required to bid for advertisement spots on search engines, which charge them for every click on the advertisement. In plain vanilla terms, the highest bidder for a particular keyword gets the highest spot.

All major search engines now have a paid search marketing program. Google has Adwords, Yahoo has Overture (now Yahoo Search Marketing) and MSN has Adcenter. PPC ads appear at the top and to the right of your search engine result pages.

Unlike SEO, search engines charge for every visitor that they send through their pay per click programs. Hence, this form of advertising works out more expensive than organic search engine optimization. However, through programs like Google Adsense, a lot of websites now display relevant PPC ads. This means that PPC advertising can result in a lot of targeted traffic and potential customers.

PPC is a reasonably new way of paid advertising and you only have to pay when your advert is clicked by visitor. When visitors click on your advert they are taken to your website or sales page that is targeted to your advertisements product or service, meaning a higher chance of achieving a sale or enquiry.

PPC (pay per click)
PPC is an Internet advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, where advertisers pay the website owner. Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click. PPC "display" advertisements, also known as "banner" ads, are shown on web sites or search engine results with related content that have agreed to show ads.

The advantage of using PPC is that it can be narrowed down, not only by phrase, but by day, and even time of day, and can be stopped and started at any time. For instance, if you sell a seasonal item, you can run your ad when the item you sell is in season, like lawnmowers or Halloween costumes, and then stop when the season ends. Also if you check your stats and find out that, for example, you get very few clicks on Mondays after 5 pm, and those who do click don't buy. You still have to pay for these clicks, unless you schedule your ad so that it doesn't run Mondays after 5 pm. Since your ad is not running, you wouldn't get any clicks, and, as soabbd said, you would "stop paying".

Benefits of PPC Marketing are

1.Since the PPC ads are based on keywords which results from a proper keyword research, advertisers get a highly targeted traffic

2.Advertisers do not have to pay for the ad space. They only pay the publishers or the search engines when they recieve traffic through clicks.

3.PPC advertising model is a less expensive medium compared to the traditional advertising. Advertisers get to test the market first through PPC advertising and extends his campaign further.

Do you know any site that allows PPC or CPC subscription for free? I mean, I don't want to pay any kind of registration fee for the same.

You might know the term from CPC (cost per click) which essentially means the same thing.  From an Advertiser side, conversions are made when users click on your graphical/text banner ad or in-line text ad from a website.  From a webmaster perspective, you earn for each click of the banner ad and/or in-line text ad from  your visitors.

PPC is a style of website marketing by which advertisers pay a fee each and every time one-of their ads is clicked. Primarily, it’s a means of shopping for visits to your site, as opposed to trying to generate these visits organically.

In a PPC campaign, you pay Google however much you wish to have them list ads for your site at the top and right of the organic search listings. When someone clicks on your add, you pay the current Cost Per Click (CPC) from your budget.

PPC is an Internet marketing formula used to price online advertisements. In PPC programs the online advertisers will pay Internet Publishers the agreed upon PPC rate when an ad is clicked on. On single website -- or network of content websites -- the site publisher would usually set  a fixed pay per click rate.  Also called cost-per-click (CPC).

PPC stands for pay-per-click, a model of internet marketing in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. Essentially, it’s a way of buying visits to your site, rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically.

Search engine advertising is one of the most popular forms of PPC. It allows advertisers to bid for ad placement in a search engine's sponsored links when someone searches on a keyword that is related to their business offering. For example, if we bid on the keyword “PPC software,” our ad might show up in the very top spot on the Google results page.

PPC (Pay Per Click) Marketing is a way of using search engine advertising to generate clicks to your website, rather than “earning” those clicks organically. Cloaking is a search engine optimization (SEO) technique in which the content presented to the search engine spider is different from that presented to the user's browser. This is done by delivering content based on the IP addresses or the User-Agent HTTP header of the user requesting the page.

A brief Pay Per Click definition is: PPC is a type of sponsored online advertising that is used on a wide range of websites, including search engines, where the advertiser only pays if a web user clicks on their ad. Hence the title, ‘pay per click.’
