Is cashing and indexing is same or different ?
Caching and Indexing both are different term.
Web Caching Means caching of web Pages and dоcuments to reduce server load.
Indexing: Google Bot Process each pages of website and Process its each words of Page. Google Bot Processes many pages but not all pages.

There is a difference between caching and indexing. You get indexed just once, but cached copy gets changed after every update.
Cashing and indexing both are different with each other. Indexing is basically a process in which robots list your web page's link into their data base while cache is a memory in which robots store snapshot of web page.

When you hear "index" chances are the person is talking about Google's index. In order to have your page displayed on Google they store it and serve it from their index.
