A canonical link element is an HTML element that helps webmasters prevent duplicate content issues in search engine optimization by specifying the "canonical" or "preferred" version of a web page. It is described in RFC 6596, which went live in April 2012

Yes, on every page of your site ideally. It acts as a form of insurance to protect you from canonical errors (assuming you implement it correctly).

Hi,

All pages should contain a canonical tag to prevent any possible duplication. Even if there are no other versions of a page, then that page should still include a canonical tag that links to itself.

you can use it on each page. and in most cases, the same URL is mentioned as canonical one.

Even if you don't currently have any duplicate content issues, as you've seen, they can easily happen accidentally and without you knowing it. For this reason, it's good to just default to adding self-referential canonical tags to every page on your site and every new page you build.

If you're a non-IT person, consult your website developer. He/she will explain what you should do.

if you do not presently have any replica content material issues, as you have seen, they can effortlessly show up by accident and except you understanding it. For this reason, it is exact to simply default to including self-referential canonical tags to each and every web page on your website and each and every new web page you build.
