Hello,

I must change my forum from a directory to a subdomain ( from mysite.com/forums to forum.mysite.com )

My forum is 8 years old and is very good optimized for trafic from Google , I'm afraid if I change will I lose all my Google positions.

I will make a change in httaccess :

RedirectPermanent /forums htttp://forums.mysite.com

Is it Ok , should i make something else ?

Open .htaccess file. You will typically find .htaccess file in your site's root folder (e.g /var/www/html/). ...
Redirect Subfolder to Subdomain. Let's say you want to redirect example.com/blog directory to blog.example.com subdomain. ...
Restart Apache Server. Restart Apache Server to apply changes $ sudo service apache2 restart.

301 redirection will be okay!
and ranking fluctuation will be temporary, your site will get back to the postion soon!

Yes, you need to redirect the forum to the subdomain. Ensure that the redirection gives 301 response. 301 is permanent redirection. permanent redirection passes link juice to the redirected url. You will see some fluctuation in the ranking. After few days you get back your position.

Even if we take care of everything, Keywords position will be still affected in google SERPs.
