How do you know your website should be updated?

One of the ways Google ranks sites is based on when they were last updated. If you are not making changes to your site on a regular basis, your site will begin to drop in the rankings. How do you know your website should be updated?

XML sitemap is a key for search engines to know about the website last updates. Its better to update the site with useful information on weekly basis.

Its true that websites which frequently gets updated have good position in SERP rankings. But if your rank is dropping, it does not mean its time to change content.

There is no signal for right time of content updation. When you have information to provide, add them in your website.
