Title: How to make digital business cards?
Post by: netJD on 04-25-2023, 07:04:23
Hey all!

I'm looking for a provider for making digital business cards since we want to spice up our marketing efforts. I've only received those via emails and social posts thus far, but haven't tried making one myself. Anyone knows how it's done?

Thanks!

There are providers where you can select a template and even the shape of the QR code on the electronic card itself. I've been using them for marketing since september and IMO, they're quite valuable if used correctly. Anything in particular you're aiming for with the help of DBCs?

Well, I've been meaning to test our user engagement with their help, so I'm looking to track the number of scans and preferably the hour and the location of the scan too. I need to update our strategy in this regard. Retargeting clients is something we're sorely lacking. I'd also like to make them as secure as possible as I'll be including the cards in email sequences to a large number of contacts. Are there any brands you can recommend?

I've been sticking to Beaconstac (https://www.beaconstac.com/digital-business-card/) for the last few months as I got the impression that they go the extra mile to ensure the security of the users. I think they're the only ones implementing the SOC-2 framework (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_and_Organization_Controls) right now. Also, making editable QR codes on their platform is easy - I'm usually making several types of cards in bulk so that I can track which design fares better and simply update the .vcf file later on. That way, the customer can find out our email, logo, socials, and so on just with one scan.
