Bookmarking is the best way to promote website..
Don't forget the use of social networks also, there is a lot of good traffic to be had from facebook and twitter if you spend the time working on your channels and communicating with the community.
you should need to do social bookmarking on a social media sites and you can do guest blogging.but i think PPC pay per click is the most effective process to do online business.
