SEO on-page work refers to the optimization techniques applied directly on a website to improve its search engine rankings and organic traffic. It involves making adjustments and improvements to various elements of a webpage to make it more search engine friendly.

Here are some key aspects of on-page SEO work:

1. Keyword Research: Identify the relevant keywords that users are searching for in relation to your content.

2. Meta Tags Optimization: Optimize the title tag, meta description, and other meta tags to accurately describe the content and include relevant keywords.

3. Content Optimization: Create high-quality, unique, and informative content that incorporates the targeted keywords naturally. Ensure proper use of header tags (H1, H2, etc.) to structure the content.

4. URL Structure: Create user-friendly URLs that include relevant keywords and provide a clear indication of the page's content.

5. Internal Linking: Establish internal links within your website to help search engines understand the structure and hierarchy of your content.

6. Image Optimization: Optimize image names, alt text, and size to improve page load speed and accessibility.

7. Site Speed Optimization: Optimize the loading speed of your website by compressing images, minimizing code, and enabling browser caching.

8. Mobile-Friendliness: Ensure your website is mobile-responsive and provides a seamless user experience on various devices.

9. User Experience: Focus on delivering a positive user experience by improving site navigation, reducing page bounce rates, and enhancing overall engagement.

10. Schema Markup: Implement structured data markup to help search engines better understand and display your website's information in search results.

To work on on-page SEO, you need to perform a thorough analysis of your website, identify areas for improvement based on the above factors, and make the necessary changes accordingly. Regularly monitoring and tracking the performance of your website through analytics tools can help you measure the effectiveness of your on-page SEO efforts and make further adjustments if needed.

additional aspects of on-page SEO work:

1. Page Titles: Create unique and descriptive page titles that include targeted keywords to provide search engines with a clear understanding of the content.

2. Meta Descriptions: Write compelling meta descriptions that entice users to click on your website in search engine results pages (SERPs). Include relevant keywords to attract the right audience.

3. Header Tags: Use header tags (H1, H2, etc.) to structure your content and signal its importance to search engines. Place targeted keywords within these tags to further optimize your content.

4. Keyword Placement: Incorporate targeted keywords naturally throughout your content, including in the first paragraph, headings, and subheadings. However, avoid keyword stuffing, as it can harm your rankings.

5. Outbound and Internal Links: Include relevant outbound links to authoritative websites to provide additional value to users. Also, use internal links to guide users to related content within your site, enhancing their experience and assisting search engines in understanding your website's structure.

6. User-friendly URLs: Create concise and descriptive URLs that include keywords and provide a clear indication of the page's content. Avoid using random numbers or symbols that don't contribute to understanding the URL.

7. Site Architecture: Organize your website into well-defined categories and hierarchies. Ensure proper navigation menus and sitemaps to help both users and search engines find and crawl your content easily.

8. Social Media Integration: Add social sharing buttons to your content, making it easy for users to share your web pages across various social media platforms. This can help increase your visibility and drive more traffic to your site.

9. Readability: Aim for clear and concise writing that is easily understandable by your target audience. Use shorter paragraphs, bullet points, and subheadings to break up the text and improve readability.

10. Regular Updates: Keep your website content fresh and up-to-date. Regularly publish new articles, update existing content, and remove outdated information to ensure relevancy and maintain search engine ranking.

few more aspects of on-page SEO work:

1. Page Loading Time: Optimize your website's loading speed by minimizing file sizes, leveraging browser caching, and utilizing content delivery networks (CDNs). Fast-loading websites tend to rank better in search results and provide a better user experience.

2. Responsive Design: Ensure that your website is responsive and mobile-friendly. With the increasing use of mobile devices for internet browsing, Google prioritizes mobile-friendly websites in search results.

3. Canonical Tags: Use canonical tags to avoid duplicate content issues caused by different URLs leading to the same page. This helps search engines understand which version of the page should be indexed and displayed in search results.

4. XML Sitemap: Create and submit an XML sitemap to search engines. This file lists all the pages on your website and helps search engines crawl and index them more efficiently.

5. Robots.txt File: Implement a properly configured robots.txt file to guide search engine bots on which pages to crawl and index and which pages to avoid.

6. Alt Text for Images: Include descriptive and keyword-rich alt text for images. This improves accessibility for visually impaired users and helps search engines understand what the image is about.

7. Secure HTTPS Connection: Switching to HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) helps ensure a secure connection between your website and its visitors. Google has confirmed that secure websites may have a slight ranking advantage over non-secure ones.

8. Social Meta Tags: Optimize social meta tags to control how your website appears when shared on social media platforms. These tags can improve click-through rates and encourage social sharing.

9. User-generated Content: Encourage user-generated content, such as reviews and comments, as it can help increase keyword diversity, engagement, and trust signals.

10. Analyzing and Monitoring: Use various SEO tools to analyze and monitor your on-page SEO efforts. This includes tracking keyword rankings, monitoring website traffic and engagement metrics, and identifying areas for improvement.

I agree with abhijit. these all are necessary points to consider in on page and i want to add one more important On page factor that is "Page Speed". Your page speed should be 80 or more than 80 for good user experience and fast loading of website.

Some on page optimization techniques:
Page Meta Descriptions
Page Meta Titles
Page Meta Keywords
Bolding keywords
H1 Tags
Italicizing keywords
H2 Tags
Proper image SEO
Proper site wide navigation
Including video on your site
Transparency pages
XML sitemap           .......and more....

I agree that the above are the best onpage optimization techniques, but one need to make a good strategy on how to use this technique before working on them, because it will provide them the clear idea about the way in which they have to move and how they can optimize it well.

The techniques mentioned on this page are very helpful and effective but the real idea behind tweaking areas of the websites should be trying to provide people and the readers with fine, high-quality and fresh contents which are truly useful and original.

Tweaking titles and descriptions and using H tags are all nice but at the end of the day, the real winners would be the websites which have fresh contents that will catch attention of the audience, help win some packs of links as well.
