According to me link equity is the collection of the links that point to a site at any moment in time.

Link Equity:
A page that is rated by the search engine as having higher relevance based on its link popularity and link contentcontext. If your home page has 100 links pointing to 100 pages within your site, each link will inherit far less PR than a home page with 20 links pointing to 20 pages.

Hi Friends,

Link equity is the number of in certain incoming links going to any given web page on your web site. Link authority is the value of those incoming links. For example think about in actual life a referrals from the BBC as to your functionality as a writer will have more weight than a referrals from a regional paper. The same thing relates to Link authority.

Link equity is the number of internal links that are directed to any internal or main pages of the site. Link equity plays a vital role in SEO. Without building links,you can not do SEO. Link building is very important for increasing page rank of a site. Quality back links increase the rankings for a site.

Maybe it requires not two much links, but need quality links and suitable numbers.

In simple words Link equity is the value a particular link from a page provides your site or the value that is transferred through said link. For example (( The total number and overall quality of the links pointing to your website).It depends on how many quality links a web site gain after performing link building activity.
