OP check backlink checkers tools like Ahrefs or googlw webmaster . the submit bad links via disavow tool

Yes Google is very helpful to identify the spam link on your web site and in my point of view you also judge by one method that is visitor write the post and after that throw the link after the post at the same these are also include in spammer..

it's especially important if site is not one ...

you can use google webmaster tools . Few years ago ,there were not many tools to check spammy links as there was no concept of spam links introduced by google but as now google has started penalising websites, different tools have come in. for example MOZ has recently launched a tools to check the spam index and links for your site
