The best web development programming language depends on the specific requirements of the project, as well as personal preferences and expertise. Some popular web development languages include:

1. JavaScript: Widely used for front-end development, back-end development (Node.js), and building interactive features on websites.

2. Python: Known for its simplicity and readability, Python is often used for web development, particularly in frameworks like Django and Flask.

3. Ruby: Often used with the Ruby on Rails framework, which is known for rapid development and clean, elegant code.

4. PHP: A server-side scripting language commonly used for web development, particularly in combination with MySQL for database management.

5. Java: Often used for building scalable enterprise-level web applications and web services.

In addition to programming languages, there are other important technologies and tools commonly used in web development:

1. HTML and CSS: While not programming languages per se, HTML is used for creating the structure of web pages, and CSS is used for styling and visual presentation.

2. SQL: This language is used for working with databases, an essential component of many web applications.

3. TypeScript: An extension of JavaScript that adds support for static typing, providing additional capabilities for building large-scale applications.

4. Frameworks and libraries: For example, front-end frameworks like React, Vue.js, and Angular are widely used for building user interfaces, while back-end frameworks such as Express (for Node.js), Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails, and Laravel provide tools for server-side development.

5. Version control systems: Tools like Git are crucial for managing code changes and collaborations in web development projects.

6. DevOps tools: These include automation, continuous integration, and deployment tools, which are important for streamlining the development process and ensuring the reliability of web applications.

In addition to the programming languages and technologies mentioned earlier, it's important to consider the following aspects of web development:

1. Performance considerations: Depending on the nature of the web application, performance optimization may be crucial. This can involve choices related to server-side languages, database technologies, caching strategies, and front-end optimization techniques.

2. Security: Web applications must be developed with security in mind. Understanding how different programming languages handle security vulnerabilities and being aware of best practices for secure coding is essential.

3. Community and ecosystem: The availability of libraries, frameworks, and community support can significantly impact the development process. Choosing languages and technologies with vibrant communities and extensive ecosystems can make development more efficient.

4. Scalability: Some languages and technologies are better suited for building scalable applications that can accommodate a growing user base and increasing data loads.

5. Integration with other systems: Considerations regarding how the web application will integrate with other systems, such as APIs, third-party services, and legacy systems, can influence the choice of languages and technologies.

Ultimately, the "best" web development programming language and technologies are those that best align with the specific requirements, constraints, and long-term goals of the project, as well as the expertise and preferences of the development team. It's advisable to evaluate these factors comprehensively before making a decision.

you must consider using both HTML and PHP, since they are partners. HTML and CSS for the structure and design, while the PHP for the dynamic functions. :)

Hello!
I hate to answer a question with anothe question, but: Why is it you want to know? Do you plan on building web sites?
Because if you are, it will really depend on what kind of project your going to be working with.

Also, I think it is important to tell you that no language on its own is "the best", in many cases for web site development there is a combinantion of things you must know.
Lets say you need to build a site, you will need to know a few things such as a programing language, I recommend PHP because its free and does about anything that all other languages do. But you still need to build a nice front-end as well as a nice admin interface, so you will need HTML, preferably HTML5.
Also, you will soon find out that many of the visual elements on the site are controled with CSS.
For database you might want to learn about MySQL.

As pointed out previously on this topic, you might be needing a web site solution, in which case, if the project is a regular site, you can use some ready to install CMS options, such as Drupal, although Drupal is not so great for people new to CMS. In this case I would recommend Wordpress. I just would keep out the Joomla, as I have seen many Joomlas go bad.

So as you can see, depending on your objectives, the answers can change a lot.
If you could give us more feedback about what is the objetive, i am sure you will get more suggestions and help.

Hope i have helped!
Cheerz!

I think is php is the best , because users does not required to free file handle resource, database resources, memory, etc, unless programmer need to free resource during script execution. And it also have  reference count feature.

common guys, dont mess up
website coding language can be: html, php, css, javascript...
wordpress, joomla, drupal is not language, but content management system (short term CMS)
and lets say wordpress is written in PHP coding language...
The best coding language for you is the one you understand the best. As somebody sai html is like one of the simple choise, but it is useless without using php and css together, we live in modern ages not middle ages, nobody seek static websites with only text...

It really depends on what u really want on your website.

If thats a simple website then use HTML5/CSS3, validate using W3C validator.
If you need a dynamic website where content can be self managed, use Php / ASP. net
Best idea is to use an opensource program like Wordpress / Joomla / Magento etc

HTML is a computer language devised to allow web page development. These websites can then be considered by anyone else attached to the Online. It is comparatively easy to learn, with the basics being accessible to most people in one sitting

The best web programming doesnt mean the most suitable one for your website. So my answer is it depends.
There is a certain that  before you decide on what language to use, you should consider the following aspects:
_your server platform
_the server software you run
_your budget
_previous experience in programming
_the database you have chosen for your backend
And then choose from the below list the most appropriate programming language:
_Java/Servlet/JSP
_Perl
_PHP
_C++
_ASP

The best web development programming language is clearly TypeScript, and if you don't agree, you're just not doing it right. With its static typing, optional static typing, and compatibility with JavaScript, TypeScript is the ultimate solution for building scalable, maintainable, and efficient web applications.

Just look at the adoption rates and the success stories of companies like Microsoft and Google, who have already made the switch.
