If it is done by using htaccess (301) for both the time then it will effective or else you have to suffer in terms of PR and SERP.

I don't think it will affect, but still curious to know from you about the result.

301 Redirect:The website at the particular URL address in question has been permanently moved to a new address, and there will no longer be any connection between the old address and the new URL address. In HTTP computer protocol, a 301 Redirect is called a response with a status code that induces a browser to arrive at a different location.

A 301 redirect is a method of telling web browsers and search engines that a web page or site has been permanently moved to a new location. Usually a 301 redirect includes the address to which the resource has been moved. Web browsers will typically follow 301 redirects to the new location automatically, without the need for user action.

A 301 redirect should be used whenever a website is moved to a new domain name (URL) so that search engines will quickly change their indeces and, in theory, preserve the search engine rankings that the site had at the previous domain.

This direction simply indicates, that particular url has been permanently moved to a new address.

A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect from one URL to the other. 301 redirects are used to permanently move a site to a new location. Search engines do not apply penalties to 301 redirects the way they apply them to many other types of redirects. In your case it will not affect the site.

A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect which passes between 90-99% of link juice to the redirected page. It is most important action that can be taken when moving content from one URL to another while maintaining PageRank as well as search rankings. Proper use of 301 redirects increases user experience by not showing a 404 error when attempting to land on a page that is not available.

A 301 redirect tells the search engine that the page has moved permanently to the new URL. A 302 redirect tells the search engine that the move is only temporary, earch engines handle 301 redirects the same but  Search engines handle 302 redirects very differently thats why i think 301 redirect is better.
