Combinating different niches
« on: 11-18-2016, 00:43:58 »
I want to make a website about chocolate recipes and post regulary new recipes, but I also want to sell kitchenware which you can use to make desserts.

Of course I would like to rank my website for terms like "vegan chocolate cake" or "sugar free chocolate cupcakes", but I also want to rank for keywords which are more commercial, in example: "best hand mixer of 2016".

Right now I have around 50 commercial kitchenware keywords and 50 recipes keywords.

I would link from my recipe articels to my commercial kitchen ware articles so visitors can find it and a strong internal linking exists.

From a SEO-Perspectiv I am not sure if these niches aren't to different. Visitors could be interested in kitchenware if they are looking for recipes, but shouldn't my site/blog be more focused?

How different/similar can topics be?

Although the topics are somewhat related, even if most of the traffic coming from one source MAY be interested in the other topic... from an SEO perspective, you will need to rank different URL's

They are separate enough that ranking for one will not increase ranking for the other. So if you try to rank both one URL (or the same Silo or URLs), Google is going to get confused what your website is about. With that said, there are many websites out there that rank for many different types of products, so you need to structure your website similarly and then rank the respective URLs or Silo's

This is regularly done through a blend of itemized normal history concentrates on controlled tests Another route by which specialty separation can emerge is by means of the past end of species without acknowledged specialties.
