Difference Between Merchant and Adwords??????????

Can you explain me what is the major diffrence between Google Merchant and Adwords.

Let me give an example. Google adwords is for a product page and merchant is for individual product. Google adwords shows in general google search and google merchant generally shows for Google product search. Both the applications are interlinked.

Google Merchant is where you manage your data feed, Google Adwords is where you make campaigns using that feed and other campaigns that don't use that feed.
