Hi there,

I am IT Engineer, software developer. I am wanting to learn something about affiliate marketing, also trying to find products I can promote. Can you give me some advice about how to choose products, suitable ones?

Sincerely,

When choosing products for affiliate marketing, here are a few factors you should consider:

1. Relevance: Look for products that align with your target audience's interests, needs, or the niche you're targeting. It's easier to promote products that your audience is already interested in.

2. Quality: Promote products that you genuinely believe in and would use yourself. This builds trust with your audience, making them more likely to make a purchase based on your recommendation.

3. Commission and profitability: Consider the commission rates offered by different affiliate programs. It's important to balance high commission rates with the popularity and affordability of the product. A higher-priced product with a lower commission rate may yield better profits than a cheaper product with a higher commission rate.

4. Demand and popularity: Research the market demand and popularity of the products you're considering. Look for products that have a proven track record of selling well, as this indicates a higher likelihood of success in promoting them.

5. Competitive landscape: Understand the competition within the niche you're targeting. Analyze competitors' strategies, customer reviews, and ratings to identify any gaps or opportunities you can leverage to differentiate yourself.

6. Affiliate program reputation: Choose reputable affiliate programs that pay on time, provide accurate tracking, and offer good customer support. Look for programs that have a positive track record and good reviews from other affiliates.

7. Research product demand: Use keyword research tools, online forums, social media groups, and industry publications to gauge the demand for specific products. Look for products with a consistent level of interest over time.

8. Consider recurring commissions: Some affiliate programs offer recurring commissions for products or services that require customers to make regular payments. These can be advantageous as they can provide ongoing income if customers continue to use the product/service.

9. Evaluate the sales funnel: Examine the sales process or funnel for the product you're considering. A well-designed sales funnel can significantly impact your conversion rates and ultimately your earnings as an affiliate.

10. Assess marketing support: Determine if the affiliate program provides marketing materials such as banners, ads, email templates, or landing pages. These resources can make your promotional efforts more effective and save you time and effort in creating your own marketing materials.

11. Customer reviews and testimonials: Read online reviews and testimonials from customers who have already purchased the product. This can give you insights into the product's quality, customer satisfaction, and potential issues that you may need to address in your promotions.

12. Stay updated with industry trends: Keep an eye on emerging trends in your industry or niche. Look for products that align with these trends, as they are likely to generate more interest and demand.

Most people want to make from affiliate marketing as much money as possible and in a very short span of time. This is the reason why they tend to overlook the fact that not every product that is "hot" on the market is necessarily the right one for them to choose.
Therefore, they should not choose the product that is in demand without taking into consideration if that specific product appeals to them or suits them. For a higher success rate, one must pick fist of all a product that is in his area of interest

The most important thing you can do before deciding what to sell is to think. . There are thousands of products and services available to consumers today. And there are unlimited opportunities for you to enter the marketplace and compete effectively with a new product  that's better in some way than what's already being offered by your competitors.

Hi
I think there are two main products: physical products and digital products.
Digital products have higher commissions because of sales channels
Physical products have fewer commissions but are sold year-round
Hope you find the right product for you.

Choose a product or a niche you know more about. Just don't end up choosing products which you don't have any idea about.
Let's understand this with example

I am a Digital Marketing executive, I am good in Digital marketing, SEO, Wordpress, Blogging. But I am not  good at health, fashion and other stuff. So it would be really wise of me if I choose the products from my niche which I have fair knowledge about.

Don't just choose products for the sake of Affiliate Marketing if you don't have any idea about it.
