I have seen many people use this when commenting on facebook posts. It is like

"^ Yeah you are right"

i think it means that the person who posted the comment is agreeing to the comment posted above it.

Don't mind everything about the message of you, even the smallest part of it - the symbol, only one, just one. Maybe it's just a matter of style or an expression.
