It can't be predicted.
When I was using orcut, I thought it is the best, but when facebook launched and got popularised no one is using it including me.
Well, facebook having a huge fan-following so, it took a long time. Till then enjoy.

I think Facebook will not die anytime soon. Maybe when social networking goes out of trend or something greater than facebook appears.
