Keyword Density
« on: 04-21-2010, 09:44:35 »
How many different keywords can I have before I start 'diluting' the effectiveness of the target keywords for Google?

How many repetitions of my target keywords can I have before they lose their weight?

What is the 'perfect balance' we should strive for?

I'm talking about entire page content, and maybe even versus title tag or including title tag. So the above questions serve the context that includes my entire webpage, head to foot.

With regards to keywords, it really depends on the amount of text. For content a good rule of thumb is about 4-6 keywords per 400 words of text. Just write with the reader in mind and weave a few keywords here and there and you will be good to go.

Yeah I would say about 5 keywords too, that way you can use them for your META tags and often in your text content, this should give good SE results.  Good luck man

I think it depends on how much content you have on the page, but the main thing is to keep things natural. Don't make it look spammy and mix up the keywords a little. Keep it natural and you'll do fine.

After the selection of the keywords it is the priority given to them that is the next criterion to be shown importance.  Bidding should be done accordingly.

As far I know 3 to 6% keywords density is required for any website. Anything above that may have some problem in SEO

Keyword density is a aggregate of the amount of times a keyword or a keyword phrase, in proportion with added words, appears on a Web page. The added times the keyword appears in affiliation to the absolute amount of on page words, the greater the overall keyword density.

In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase. Keyword density needs to be balanced correctly.

Hello,
Keyword density is the percentage or numbers, represents how often keywords are included in one webpage.
Different search engines allow a different keyword density. Google accepts keyword density between 2% until 4%. Yahoo allows a webpage to have about 5% . Having the right keyword density will help insure that your content looks natural and useful for the search engines.

Thanks
