A Landing Page is a page that focuses information targeted towards a particular user – and according to Seth Godin, optimised specifically to encourage 1 of 5 actions: Get a visitor to click (to go to another page, on your site or someone else's) Get a visitor to buy.

Landing page is the webpage where a visitor lands when redirected from an external domain by the help of a backlink. The landing page should be optimized properly to help find the exact thing a visitor is looking for on your website. This will help make the visitor surf other pages of your website and reduce the bounce rate.

A landing page basically means the web page visitors are directed to through a link/advertisement and usually contains a sales pitch for the visitor. Usually, landing pages are commercial websites promoting a product/service and are tailored to the specific needs and requirements of the business/organization. Landing pages can be part of a website or a single web page created to sell a product/service.

Hi! Recently I have read Rajeev Guglani's article on this topic. he described landing page as that page of the website where visitors reach or land directly from the route of search engines or incoming links. So it's considered to be as a gateway to the website!

A landing page is the webpage a person ends up on by clicking on a link. This term is often used to discuss commercial websites. Essentially web designers want to create pages that are most tailored to the needs of the person who has clicked on a link and arrived at the landing page. These pages can be the front page of a website, or they might have other functions depending upon web page design.

It usually display directed sales copy that is a logical extension of the advertisement or link. In the purest sense, a landing page is any webpage that a visitor can arrive at or "land" on. A landing page is a distinct page on your website that's built for one single conversion objective. A landing page should be designed, written and developed with one business purpose in mind.
