posting on forum helping page ranking?

Hello everyone!

I am very much a novice when it comes to optimize a page for google and read about the page rank and links and so on just recently, now my question, this board has a page rank of 3 my new site has a page rank of 0. So if I add my link on this forum would that count as a good link for me?

If you do so, Your site which have 0 PR gets much positive in compare to 3 PR site. It will happen on because for link juice.

It is possible theoretically , you need more backlinks with different domain names.

i think yes. backlink from forum is OK, and i think maybe in some situation is better.
what's more, you can try to make some link on high PR forums. which is better than lower PR ones.

Backlinks from high PR websites tends to pass link juice higher than the site with low PR.

What you want it to get links from High PR sites.  If you have 0 now, social bookmarking with high Pr SBM site, some of them are nine and Google is ten, but Social bookmarking with them is 9, and there quite of few, which if you do get the follow links then your PR should go up at the next PR update, assuming you are not getting extraneous links.

It is understandable, For good quality backlinks it's important that our coming backlinks page rank should not be less then our website page rank. As your website PR is 0 and you put your website link in forum having 3 PR which is beneficial and consider as a good quality backlink.

Yes it can be the good backlinks to your site but only when you have provided the best content then only you can get the links. And do not just rely on forum for getting the quality backlinks but use other techniques also with relevancy and quality for the best results.

yes, it will help improve your page rank. if you have quality backlinks in quality sites and forums, your page rank will surely increase.

One thing i want to tell is that quality backlinks are not by default on any of the site. but one has to try to get the quality backlinks to own site , by providing the quality and useful content in the post and with  submission on high pr and quality sites. And the need with forum is to be continuous in discussion as i said above.
