I am learning php now.
It is not very difficult to learn it.
But i need some practice to be more confident in it.

Knowing the PHP basics is pretty simple but how much of an expert you are depends on your knowledge of the various API's (and there's plenty of them) and how you can use them to solve a problem.

Knowing design patterns and other re-usable design theories can help alot and does indicate how proficient you are. If you don't know what a singleton is or what a factory pattern is , let's just say you've got a long way to go bud!

I'm an expert but not a professional if that makes sense.

Wow, honestly I've been learning PHP for quite some time, but never really build a website using that language by myself. It's just too complicated for me. I'm not basically a website designer.

with basic knowledge of php ,we can develop a simple php/html site using css .I did last day such tasks and built a simple website using php but not in depth in php .Also what beginners can do is practice doing connection with database with mysql/phpmyadmin case you have xampp server installed with best practices always
