In the first step find out how many pages you have and how many keywords you want to select for each of the pages.

Then list out a word which is used for generating leads for your business it means it must be related to your business. You can also check your competitor’s keyword for better understanding.

Once you find and list out your keyword, then check popularity, traffic, etc metric for each word for getting the perfect result for choosing a keyword.

There are some tools available which can you use SEO site analysis for tracking this metric Wordtracker, Keyword Discovery and the Google Adwords Keyword Tool you can use.

And After getting the perfect list of the keyword, you need to set on your site :)

Best keywords can be selected using Google keyword planner. It is the best free tool for high quality keyword research. They help to provide various keyword suggestions for your domain, and selecting the right keywords will help to rank your website higher in search results.

Firstly think and understand about your business, product, and services. You can use google keyword planner for choosing the keyword. Make a list of your business relevant keywords, also check your competitor keywords then select the best keyword which signifies your business. If you want to rank your business then go with low-rank keywords. Because high-rank keywords do not help to get rank your business on the search engine. Use long tail keywords is best to rank your business.

SEMrush is a competitive research tool that lets you keep an eye on on your competitors' keywords to find opportunities to bump them out for a top position in Google's and Bing's organic search results. You can compare a number of domains against one another to evaluate the competitive landscape, including their common keywords and positions in Google's organic, paid, and shopping search results.

I think you must have to do competitor analysis first. Because by this, you can understand about the which type of keywords your competitors used. After that, you can create your strategies.

You can make use of Keyword research tools like SEMRUSH for keyword research and analysis.

SEMRUSH tells you the keywords based on CPC, Search volume, demographics and competition. You can enter your keyword check for its search volume, the CPC.

Besides these there are other Keywords research tools that also can be used like Ubersuggest, google Keyword Planner.

Also check for Keyword Difficulty and the competition and how easy or difficult it is to rank for a particular keyword.

While choosing keywords for a website you need to take care of niche related to your website.

Do proper keyword research and choose targeted keywords on which you want to rank for

Make sure that you choose keywords that don't have a very high competition as it will be difficult to rank on.

Choose Keywords that have a decent search volume and medium to high competition
