Duplicate Content Question
« on: 01-15-2012, 21:26:36 »
Hi,

I have a quick question about duplicate content I'm hoping someone can answer. I own a couple of Wordpress Sites that I am trying to raise in the google rankings. One site I am actively working on, the other I am not. I would like to move all the content from my old site to my current site, but I don't want to get flagged by google for duplicate content and drop in rankings. Is there a proper way to do this? Thank you in advance...

If you are trying to raise the rankings for both sites, then having the same content on each isn't a good idea. But if you are ditching the old site in favour of the new one, you can 301 redirect the urls of your old pages to your new ones.
