NAP stands for Name, Address, Phone Number. NAP is critical for businesses wishing to rank well in the local organic search results, because search engines like Google take the data into account when determining which companies to show for geo-targeted searches.

Hi,
It can have a huge impact on your local SEO rankings. Your N.A.P. information is comprised of your organization's name, address and phone number. This information is typically listed somewhere on your website and on other sites such as Yelp or Merchant Circle.

With Google’s more recent emphasis on serving more localized results to searchers, having your N.A.P. information up-to-date and consistent across multiple platforms is key to harnessing its power for local SEO.

NAP is an acronym for, ‘Name, Address, Phone’. NAP Consistency means your business’s Name, Address, and Phone Number are consistently listed the same across the web. Taking the NAP a step further, it is equally important to have your website’s address also listed consistently as well.

The word NAP stands for Name, Address and Phone Number. It is very vital for any business that wishes to be ranked well in local rearch results. This is because most search engines like Google usually take NAP data into consideration  when determining the companies to show for geo targeted searches.
NAP information also enables you to build trust with search engines thereby boosting your local rankings. You can enhance this by providing this data in different sites such as online directories as well as local area sites. The secret here is that the more a site is respected, the more search engine optimization points you will get with Google. Such sites include Yelp, Manta, LinkedIn and many more.
