What is the best way to make sure the website you are designing will fit on as many screen sizes and resolution possible?

If you will take stand size to create website then also your website will not appear proper in diverse devices such as laptop, smart phones, tablets etc. Hence in place of this, you should make your website design responsive which will automatically adjust its resolution and size as per the device’s screen size.

Thanks! How to make it responsive? Like creating liquid and fluid layouts?

Try to use Responsive Design which is fit for every screen, it will also support mobiles version so that you can make your users feel free using your website. or try to use Stranded Size and also develop mobile design which will give you good results.

With the new Hummingbird algorithm, the mobile version and responsive design are something you must do. More and more of the traffic will come through mobile devices with differernt screen resolution
