Microdata (HTML5)

Microdata is a proposed feature of HTML5 intended to provide a simple way to embed semantic markup into HTML documents. As of January 2010, the microdata working draft is in the last call for comments stage.
Microdata can be viewed as an extension of the existing microformat idea which attempts to address the deficiences of microformats without the complexity of systems such as RDFa.
