Is AMP necessary?

AMP is a Google-imposed straitjacket that's stifling innovation on the web. I'm fed up with the arbitrary rules and restrictions that come with AMP. The web doesn't need AMP to be fast and mobile-friendly. In fact, AMP's rigid framework can often lead to a worse user experience than a well-designed, non-AMP website.

And let's not forget the irony: Google's pushing AMP as a solution to slow mobile experiences, while its own services like Google Analytics and Google Ads are among the biggest contributors to slow page loads. Don't buy into the AMP hype; focus on building a website that's fast, functional, and free from Google's meddling.
