Here are few indications you might find out if your website is penalized or banned :

1.Go to Google webmaster Tools and check if you have received any warning message , if there is no message/notice from google informing you that they have penalized your site due to violation of their quality guidelines, then this is a good sign.

2. Check Google Analytic for Traffic Data , If your traffic seems normal for 1 day, and the next day there's a sharp drop-off , that's a pretty good indicator of a possible penalty. and sometimes the drop is due to the changes of Google's search results ranking algorithm, and now you have to find out what the update is all about .

3. Check whether your site is Indexed or not , Go to Google and type in site:yourdomain.com

4. or Search your website without using 'www.' or '.com' extensions if the website still appears on search engine then it is not penalized nor banned from the google.

Run a "site:domain.com" query - no SERP results usually means deindex or ban.
Then check Google Search Console for manual actions, crawl errors, and impressions drop.
Use Ahrefs/SEMrush for traffic crash patterns and backlink toxicity. Sudden zero impressions = likely penalty.
