I would like to suggest you check all the previous backlinks, is those are irrelevant, you need to remove those link through disavow tool from Google Websmaster panel.

I would suggest to do a competitor analysis for the competitors who are ranking well from your website. Find websites from which competitor's websites are getting backlinks. Do link building or link earning on those websites. I hope it will help you
